Referral to a Specialist Oral Surgeon is mainly for surgical difficulties that would require extra precision and skill.
The wisdom teeth (or third molars) are usually the last teeth to erupt into the mouth and can come through at any time after about 16 years of age. Often there is not enough room to accommodate wisdom teeth, so they do not come into the mouth normally. When this happens, the wisdom teeth are said to be impacted.

If you have a patient that you feel would benefit from a specialist opinion or treatment for an oral surgery procedure, our team would be more than happy to accept your referral and treat your patient accordingly before discharging them back to your care on completion.
